We’d been planning our Fourth of July cruise for five months. We’d preregistered and paid deposits to secure slips and rooms. We would spend three nights at Block Island, three nights in Newport, R.I., and one night in Port Jefferson, N.Y. Then after a trip around New York Harbor, we’d head back home to Massapequa. |
