As an adult, Harold Morris was always known as “Hal.” He was commander of the Diablo Sail & Power Squadron/25 from 2019 until his death, Dec. 10, 2021.
He had a full life, living into his 80s. He served the squadron in many positions. He was executive officer, administrative officer, as well as commander and served on almost every committee. He also served at the district level in every office, including district executive officer and district commander. He was an expert and prolific vessel safety examiner.
He was a 40 year veteran flight engineer, master sergeant, in the Air Force. He was an appliance repairman with Sears and Roebuck for 40 years, and he also worked in construction.
He was a husband, father, and great friend. He was known for hard work, a “let’s get it done” attitude and his lively sense of humor. He cared about everyone he met. He loved life, his many friends and boating. He always had a positive attitude. He will be greatly missed.
