Wayne K. Osborne

Wayne Keith Osborn of Petersburg, Michigan, died of complications due to heart disease on March 17, 2024. He was 79. He was a devoted advocate of peace, justice, and environmental issues; a research chemist, an entrepreneur, and a wonderful father. He was a lifelong sailor and loved the water. He owned and sailed various vessels in the Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, and the Great Lakes. He was Past Commander of the Toledo Sail & Power Squadron, a unit of the United States Power Squadron, where he earned the grade of Senior Navigator.

He was a man of the world, traveling frequently throughout his life, having visited or lived in more than 20 countries. He spoke German, Arabic, and Spanish. He took his family on several journeys to faraway lands, including Costa Rica, the Galapagos Islands, and the Greek Islands.

He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Linda Osborn, his sons Alexander (Sydney) and Aaron (Krista) Osborn, stepsons Gerald (Lana) and Craig Tipton, granddaughter Vienna Tipton, and his two beloved grandsons Dexter Wayne Osborn and Asher Thomas Osborn.
