P/Lt/C Anne Schetter-Clark, JN

Anne Schetter-ClarkIt is with a very heavy heart that we announce the death of P/Lt/C Anne Schetter-Clark, JN, due to complications from uterine cancer. She was the beloved wife of Stephen Clark; loving mother of Rebecca Clark, Travis Clark, Caitlin Schetter, Mike Schetter, Eric (Liz) Clark, and Christine (Luke) Nezda; cherished sister of Greg (Denise) Ahlstrom and Dirk Ahlstrom; loving daughter of Marilyn Ahlstrom Tyler and the late Richard Tyler, and the late Beverly Burnside; fond sister-in-law of Ray (Judy) Clark and David Clark; dear aunt of several nieces and nephews; and loving grandmother of two.

Anne was born in San Diego, California, to parents Richard Tyler and Beverly Burnside and was raised by her stepmother, Marilyn Ahlstrom Tyler, and Richard Tyler. Anne graduated from San Diego State, with a degree in accounting and became a certified public accountant. Later, Anne attended law school, becoming a member of the California Bar on 2 Dec. 2009.

Anne had a passion for travel, journeying with Steve, the children, and the Ahlstrom family across the globe. Summers in Washington were Anne’s favorite, when she and Steve would lounge on the deck of their yacht with Ozzie, the family’s Portuguese Water Dog. Anne was also the treasurer for Bellevue Sail & Power Squadron.

A memorial to celebrate Anne’s life will take place on 30 April at 2 p.m. in Blakely Hall at 2550 NE Park Drive, Issaquah, WA 98029. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Anne’s name to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
